    Remember Not the Former Things...

    Isaiah 43:18-19 (AMP)
Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Ever since I can remember, I "knew" I belonged to God. This was not a conscious awareness but more of a sense or inner knowing. Growing up as a catholic, I always wanted to be a priest. I didn't agree with most of what the catholic church taught as I had always thought there was more to God than they were telling me.

So when Jesus made Himself known to me, I knew not to turn to the catholic church for more of Him. Since I didn't know anything else, I went to a Baptist church but soon learned I wasn't being fed there either. That particular church made a noise of being alive but no one was really walking in what they professed.

I wanted a living relationship with a living God and could not find a church that promoted this. Today, 37 years later, I still cannot find this expression of God alive and well in the church. I see form without function. Godliness without recognizing the power behind godliness. I see figureheads leading people but no true discipleship. I see leaders so full of themselves as to be unapproachable and uncommunicative.

Everyone seems to be too busy and too self important to do the simple things and relegate these to others to free themselves to do what they consider the important things as dictated by other men who share in this distorted sense of self importance. I see men elevating other men and calling themselves apostles and prophets and even calling themselves fathers but when I look at the flocks they are "fathering", I see a lost church with many of its members not even able to hear the voice of Holy Spirit much less walk in obedience.

These men who are called apostles and prophets and bishops and other high ranking titles are little more than gifted CEOs with their own version of a nonprofit corporation. They go about setting up churches under the same premises that have been broken for centuries and pat themselves on the back for their accomplishments. In many respects, their lives mirror that of King Saul"s. They have been raised up for one purpose but due to success, attributed that success to their own abilities and gifting rather than to God. They make the claim it is God but only for acceptance purposes to further their own careers.

Many years have I cried out to God for something that is a true reflection of who He is and to see a true pattern of what He has established in heaven to be here on earth. What we call church today bears absolutely no reflection of what He intended. It has become a playground of Satan designed to make the body of Christ powerless against his assaults. We have played right into his hands.

God has been at work since the first century church to restore back to His church that pattern of heaven but men prefer to control what they see and what they cannot see. And the people love to have it so.

Let others do our praying for us. Let others read the bible for us. Let others interpret the bible for us. Let others satisfy the demands of God for us. We pay them so that they can do the work while we play and enjoy ourselves with the pleasures of this world.

Only through God's mercies are there anyone saved. He is still intent in turning the heart of His people to serve Him and come into fellowship with Him. The form we see of church meetings today will pass away.

Persecution against true believers is coming and it will be during this time of fire that He will purify His church and a new form will be established according to the pattern revealed during the first century church. Men have become lovers of themselves and haters of true authority for true authority challenges them and their motives.

With the re-establishment of true authority, miracles, healing, deliverance will become commonplace with those working these being humble men and women who seek no glory or recognition for themselves but point always to the Savior. They will show up, do what God is directing and then disappear. No autographs, no recognition sought, no passing out of flyers or business cards to promote their ministries.

These will be the unknowns, the mysterious. They will all walk with gratefulness of heart with none being lifted up because of their own "beauty". True servants, true sons and daughters. No titles and as far as the world and the church is concerned, nameless and faceless, as true reflections of God and His Christ for the glory that will be seen will not be the glory of man but the glory of God.

A new order, a new form, a new perspective along with a new heart will be established as God begins to have His way among those that love Him and walk with Him. Nothing of the old will survive for that old wineskin cannot contain this new wine He will be releasing into His Body. A new wineskin, so radically different, established to bear in itself a true reflection of God's heart to the world. True love, true worship, true praise, true messages as those who serve will be indistinguishable from one another, for God will be the ONLY One to be seen in their midst.

It is His Spirit and His message and His anointing. This new breed of servants have all relinquished themselves to Him in such a way as to refuse all recognition from any man but choose anonymity. As John the Baptist, these choose not to be known by their names or their father's names but choose only to be called after God's word working in their lives. Like John, they are the Word working and alive in them for the purpose God has called them. They seek not the glory of men but seek only God's glory. What crowns they receive from the Father are cast before them to honor the giver of their gifts.

I see pockets of the true believers with the true apostles and true prophets and true pastors, teachers and evangelists being guided by Holy Spirit around the world and in smaller neighborhoods to everywhere the Spirit directs them to give to each pocket of believers that daily bread from heaven that is required and they move on to the next. There is no visible organization, no visible framework, for all things that will be done will be orchestrated through the invisible God they serve.

These new ministries will not bear any name under any nonprofit corporations. To the worldly church, these will be ridiculed and condemned as not belonging to God. These will be viewed as a strange cult with no visible structure or leader. They will be hounded and hunted and condemned by those who no longer walk as children of the light for they refuse to be led by Holy Spirit.

The true sons of God will become outcasts by those they seek to reach out to. These new sons will walk in a power and spiritual authority never seen in our present day, rivaling that of the first century. These are the ones of whom the ends of the earth will come as they are the ones who will usher in the return of Jesus as Master and Ruler of this whole world, bringing the vengeance of God on the wicked. These are those who are destined to rule with Christ with a rod of iron, breaking in pieces the kingdoms of this world to establish righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
