    Schizophrenia and Depression
    Too Great for God?

SCHIZOPHRENIA...Schizophrenia (/ˌskɪtsɵˈfrɛniə/ or /ˌskɪtsɵˈfriːniə/) is a mental disorder characterized by a breakdown of thought processes and by a deficit of typical emotional responses.[1] Common symptoms include auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking, and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction. "Current research is focused on the role of neurobiology, although no single isolated organic cause has been found."

DEPRESSION...Major depressive disorder (MDD) (also known as clinical depression, major depression, unipolar depression, unipolar disorder or recurrent depression in the case of repeated episodes) is a mental disorder characterized by episodes of all-encompassing low mood accompanied by low self-esteem and loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities. "There is no laboratory test for major depression."

Schizophrenia and depression are spiritual afflictions from oppressing demons or actual possession which can ONLY be treated through Faith in Jesus Christ and those demons driven out. Psychologists and psychiatrists typically do not accept this spiritual diagnosis and try various methods to treat them, usually unsuccessful.

Any church leader that denies the power of God by His Spirit will not acknowledge possession or oppression as a diagnosis with deliverance as the proper treatment. It is a sad fact that many churches, church organizations and denominations reject the outpouring of God's Spirit on mankind in the present generations and believe that it was only for a specific point in history, namely that first generation of believers after Christ's resurrection.

Along with this dispensational teaching, they do not believe the gifts of the spirit are for today. It is a generally held belief that what was perfect to come that does away with all such gifts of the spirit and the need for the Holy Spirit's outpouring was the completion of the New Testament. Although the bible is God's inspired word, both the Old and New Testaments, are but letters from God to His people. This is no substitute for relationship.

If all my relationship with my spouse is to be through letters back and forth with no time of intimacy between us, then we truly cannot be called married. God calls for relationship through intimacy with Himself. This is why Jesus was foretold of being called Emmanuel, God With Us. Jesus Himself said that it is necessary for Him to leave so that Holy Spirit, our comforter and teacher, would come and dwell within us to lead us and guide us into all truth. Even the disciples, with their three and one half years with Jesus were still ignorant and fearful after Jesus' resurrection.

It wasn't until Holy Spirit came and filled them would they FINALLY understand as they were understood by Jesus. This was the moment and purpose of God revealed. It has been the intention of God from the very beginning to give to mankind what man needed desperately, to have His heart and His understanding and His love shed abroad in their hearts in order to effectively do battle against the evil one and defeat him in their own lives.

To deny this life giving and sustaining power is to deny the finished work of Christ on that cross. For this is the very reason He came to sacrifice Himself for our sins, in order to give mankind access to the holiest place of all, the very heart of God. The evidence of this occurred when that thick curtain separating the Holy place and the Holy of Holies was ripped in two from the top to the bottom. God announced His entrance into the heart of mankind through this symbolism.

He knew long ago that the law was insufficient to give life. Obedience to the law was not sufficient to cleanse the heart of man and to give man what he needed most to combat the powers of deception from the evil one. For it is not in man that walks to direct his own way.

The ONLY weapon that could fight against the deceptive powers of the evil one who was created as a spirit and knew God in a way no man knew God, would have to be more powerful than what man had already in his possession. Mental powers alone have proven an ineffective weapon. Our abilities, as impressive as they are, were no match against the deceptive powers of the wicked one.

What man needed is nothing short of God's own Spiritual power to defeat that one whom Jesus defeated at the cross through His sinless life. It is faith in Jesus and the power of His resurrection that enables us. To deny that power of His resurrection which is the power shed abroad upon all flesh upon the release of Holy Spirit baptism is to deny the very resurrection power.
    2 Timothy 3:5 (AMP)
For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].
This is why Paul placed such a premium on pursuing the knowledge of the resurrected Christ.
    Philippians 3:7-11 (NKJV)
But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Brethren, the bible teaches that our battle is NOT against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness and the ONLY weapons to be used against them is SPIRITUAL weapons.

It is a tragedy that one should lose a loved one when God has provided a way for deliverance but that way has not been pursued. I can make such a bold claim for I have ministered successfully to those who have been oppressed in such a way.

Depression is nothing more than a battle against hopelessness. Seek God for the root and minister accordingly to restore hope. The depressed feel they are uniquely selected for rejection from love and that not even God can deliver them. This is an outright lie. With God, NOTHING is too difficult.

If depression, schizophrenia, and mental illness can be likened to the nut on a bolt and the only tools you have are a screwdriver and a hammer, will you be able to help? No, because those tools are not uniquely created to perform such an operation. You need a tool that has been uniquely created and prepared for this kind of operation, a wrench. So it is in the battle against the powers of darkness.

If you refuse to believe in spiritual oppression or possession, then you are ill-equipped to fight this battle but don't go to Egypt for your help. Go to God and let Him direct you to that person or persons who have been uniquely prepared to fight this battle. It is God's desire that we all know how to fight these spiritual battles but it is the traditions of men and their unbelief that prevent these lost souls from being freed from their captors.

Endeavor brethren, to fight the good fight against all powers and principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places for such is the call and the authority that has been given unto us, God's chosen. And do not forget the reason we are instructed to put on the whole armor of God. It is for our spiritual warfare to keep ourselves free and our brethren who are fallen in battle.
    Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV)
    The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
Brethren, it is of vital importance to pursue the righteousness of God and His kingdom. This is the foundation upon which all else is built. But even as those who worked to restore the walls of Jerusalem in the book of Nehemiah, they worked with their weapons in the one hand and their building tools in the other.

This MUST be our posture as well for we do not build up God's kingdom and the wall of our salvation during times of peace but during times of hostility against all those who desire to live godly lives. Our enemy does not stand still as the kingdom of God is being built within our lives but he is actively seeking ways to destroy that which God is building.

We must all be actively building that portion of the wall of salvation that is before us as well as looking to our left and to our right as our brethren who are beside us building their portion. For if the enemy attacks them, we must come to their aid. If a breach is formed against one, the rest of us, especially those closest to them, must fill that gap and continue to build the wall.
    Ezekiel 22:30-31 (NKJV)
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

    Isaiah 60:18 (NKJV)
Violence shall no longer be heard in your land,
    Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders;
But you shall call your walls Salvation,
    And your gates Praise.
We stand together as the body of Christ, the complete fullness of Christ on earth. It is through the revelation power of God and our faith in His word that Jesus said was that rock which the gates of hell would not prevail against. Whenever you see the gates of hell prevailing in a believer's life, it is because there was a breach, a gap through which the oppressor was able to enter and destroy. We are all responsible for this when we did not come in to stand in that gap and finish the wall where our brother fell. This failure does not harm just one but harms us all for its speaks to the world there is no true hope in God.

We are called to be a HOLY NATION, a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, a nation of KINGS AND PRIESTS to our God! We are called to REFLECT that awesome power and glory of God as revealed through Jesus Christ our Lord! So let us take up that banner and march side by side, neither going to the left or going to the right but marching straight forward as He leads us to establish His Kingdom on Earth as we are commanded! Let the nations of the earth tremble before us as the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD in CHRIST is clearly seen as we walk in this life with that eternal hope of the world to come. Let us not be fearful but walk as children of the light, casting away darkness from before and tearing down the kingdom of darkness through the power shed upon us by God's Holy Spirit! Let us all establish the Kingdom of God first in our own lives, then in our brethren, then our neighbors, and then the world!
    2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (NKJV)
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
