    1 Corinthians 14:31 (NKJV)
For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.

    Joel 2:28 (NKJV)
    God's Spirit Poured Out
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
    That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
Ever since the fulfillment of Joel 2:28; anyone filled with God's Holy Spirit can prophesy as they are moved by His Spirit to do so. For all true prophecy comes from God and is given to mankind as He directs them. As with all other things, the fruits must be judged. To judge the fruit of a prophet or a prophecy is whether it points the way to God and if it comes true.
    Deuteronomy 18:21-22 (NKJV)
And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken? ’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

    Jeremiah 28:9 (NKJV)
As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent.”

    1 John 4:1-3 (NKJV)
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Today, many from the pulpits of America declare to you all that you can lift up your voice and prophecy God's will into your life or the lives of others or even into the events of the world. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! God has NEVER given it to ANY man to teach others to prophecy into their own lives or the lives of others. Many attempt to do this and in the doing of this word, they tag their speech with "I Prophecy this or that..." whatever it is they chose to speak. This is NOT God but is a form of witchcraft. It is speaking your own desire into the air. For only the true prophecies are those given to the believer by God Himself.
    2 Peter 1:21 (NKJV)
for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
These who speak such things are speaking presumptuously and not by the Spirit of God. There is nowhere in God's word that He instructs men to tell others to prophecy. What we are to do, in faith, is to proclaim our agreement with the promises He has given to us. This is not that presumption being passed off as faith for faith cannot come except by hearing of God's living spoken word (rhema). This is a word that Holy Spirit has actually spoken to you individually.
    Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word (rhema) of God.
This is the nature of God's word to us in that when He speaks into our spirit man, faith is activated and we go forward with the confidence that His word cannot fail, for He has spoken it to us Himself and God is not a man that He should lie.

Brethren, do not believe every man who claims to be a prophet for many false prophets are come into the church who seek not God's glory but their own and do not seek what is beneficial to you but seek to feed their own souls through you. (1 John 4:1-3)

Therefore, when you hear a man or woman speak from the pulpit saying for you to prophesy into your situation or to prophesy in your own life or prophecy into another's life or situation, do not do as they say. You will not be speaking God's word. They will seek to convince you that by quoting God's word, you are prophesying but this too is in error. Have you seen the prophecies come to pass when you have done this? If they have not come to pass, it is because God has not instructed you to say such a thing. Seek to HEAR God's voice regarding all those things you have concern with and voice your agreement as a proclamation. Do not prophesy or speak by tagging the words, "I prophesy to this or that." Doing this means you are sinning in that thing by saying God said thus and such when He has not said it.

I know many pastors mean well when they try to encourage their flocks to step out and believe but prophecy does NOT come by the will of man but can ONLY come as God speaks these things to your own heart. Then and only then, can you speak into those things HE instructs you to. Be careful not to add to it or to take away from what He says. In this, God is very specific and will not take lightly what you add or take away. In this, we are best to walk in the reverential fear of the Lord for He is a Holy God and a Jealous God. The children of Israel, in their rebellion, have profaned the name of the Lord wherever they went. Let this not be spoken of us as we have been graciously engrafted into the vine.

In summary, proclaim your agreement with what God has promised you. Give Him thanks and praise for His goodness and mercies. Do not prophesy according to the words of ANY man/woman that speaks and urges you to prophesy anything that does not come from God Himself. Judge the fruits. If you did what was said and it did not come to pass, then why open yourself up for another false hope. A true prophet will teach how to hear God for yourself and to fearlessly speak what God says to you as an individual.

I have heard many ministers and even prophets and those who call themselves apostles encourage many to speak their own prophecies regarding their own needs or the needs of others. I've also heard them speak to nations and peoples by saying "I PROPHECY this or that!" All this is great staging and great theatrics but if God has not instructed them to say these things, then they are false prophets. God shall judge them according to their own iniquity. Personally, I do not do what they do and judge very carefully what they teach for those who do such things, typically, are seekers of their own glory and not God's glory and seek also to make merchandise of His people for their own filthy lucre.

Brethren, the church has many such ones as the scriptures warn about. Be careful how you judge and do not judge frivolously. Wait and see the fruits and pay attention how they proclaim themselves. In all this, remember, God's Spirit was poured out upon all flesh and He said that sons and daughters, you and I, shall prophesy. All who are His children according to faith, are invited into a living relationship with Almighty God and He speaks into each of our lives so that we may all know Him and His purposes for us. He has given it to us all to prophecy. We are encouraged in the scriptures to prophecy, each in turn.

I know this is not typically encouraged in every church and for those who do this in practice, are the richer for it for the whole counsel of God is revealed. For those churches who do not practice this, then the congregation is being robbed of the rich experiences of their walk with God and being robbed of His whole counsel. I do not say that God does not use those churches, He does; it is because they do not allow the free flow of God's Spirit in their midst, they put limits on what God is ABLE to do because of their traditions.

Just as limits were placed on what Jesus was able to do in certain places because of their traditions and their unbelief, so it is today. Where traditions of men are in force, God's Spirit and His many blessings are also limited. Seek another place where God's Spirit is given freedom to manifest. These are few and far between but they do exist. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you. He will.

Especially be wary of those who come as visiting ministers and seek to cause you to rise up in excitement and charge your emotions but there is no signs of God's power being manifested. Emotions is not what brings faith. Faith comes when God is speaking which at times, requires little or no words. For far too long men have lifted up their own voices and substituted excellent oration or bible memory capacity to mesmerize their audiences but have not walked in His great power. Remember how Paul spoke regarding the manner in which He spoke to those he ministered to...
    1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (NKJV)
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
This is the kind of message I seek for. I am tired of the empty rhetoric of empty promises and empty words. I am tired of the eloquence of speech by learned men or women. These do not incite faith but produce others like themselves, who are always seeking knowledge but lack the most important thing, God's power! It is not human wisdom or eloquent speech or the use of persuasive words but the demonstration of the Spirit of God and His power.

If what I hear sounds good and is delivered powerfully with forceful sounding words but there is no evidence of this power he or she speaks of, then I will have gone away empty, disappointed and saddened for I did not come to her men speak, no matter how verbally gifted they are. I came to hear God, to meet with God, to minister to Him and He to me. It is He that speaks with me everyday of my life and it is He that I desire to be edified by. Let the prophets speak one by one so that we may all be edified by God's Spirit. For it is He who knows what each person's needs are. Only He can meet everyone's needs and fulfill everyone's desires.

For I delight in Him and He delights in me for I do always those things He shows me to do. It is this that I wish to see more of when we gather together to meet. I have been the "leader" of meetings where we gather to hear what Holy Spirit says and is doing. I've encouraged others to step up to speak as they hear, unafraid of what may come out of their mouths. The reason I was never concerned is that before there ever was a gathering, it was bathed in intercession and prayer. All authority was released to Him BEFORE any meeting was started. The Spirit of the Lord also showed me what He was doing do when one spoke, I knew what they were to speak. We saw how Holy Spirit can meet every need and still have a time of thanksgiving and worship, much of which was spontaneous in nature as the people could not contain their praise and their worship.

As men, we seek to control all things pertaining to God and the "order" of worship. But this is not needed. Holy Spirit does all things according to the pattern in heaven and if we relinquish all control to Him, we get to witness for ourselves what heavenly order is like. There is a great freedom in meetings where Holy Spirit is allowed to have absolute freedom. Most churches give Him only a limited amount of time but their "order" must be resumed or they do not feel as though they are doing what they have believed they were supposed to do. These men and woman have bought into a system, a pattern that was not ordained by God but has risen up from the dictates of men.

I have seen churches which have allowed several hours for Holy Spirit to have His way but because the leaders had other commitments, this freedom was eventually ended so they could fulfill their previous obligations. We need leaders whose only commitments, whose only agendas, whose only appointments is to do the will of our Father. God knows His own appointments and is able to keep them. We allow Him to lead and He is quite capable to keeping His own time table without sacrificing what He desires to do in our midst.

Jesus was often interrupted when on His way to do His Father's will by someone in need. Never has He ignored this outstretched hand or the cries for help. At every cry, at every touch, He stopped what He was doing to answer it. There were always those who went ahead that thought they knew what was best and would quiet those who cried out for help but Jesus would not let these prevent Him from answering their cries. This is the cry of the Spirit of the Living God today. His children are crying out and no one is listening. Appointments must be made...time slots must be honored...personal recreational times must be honored. An unlimited number of limitations we place on Him who has no such limitations. It is HE that wishes to rule over us, yet it is WE who rule over Him. Is it no wonder we see less and less of God in our meetings! We simply do not "schedule" Him in!

Yet the leaders of today insist on being the masters of their own time! We have this to do, we have that to do, we have others that want our attention. We have this meeting to go to or that meeting, this conference or that conference. These leaders of today have so busied their schedules that they need assistants to aid them in the keeping of their schedules. Think about this for a moment, the leaders of today have become unapproachable icons because of the demand on their time. AND THEY LOVE TO HAVE IT SO!!!

Brethren, God is raising up a new breed of shepherds. These are counted as those sheep who have been left to fend for themselves as their shepherds went to tend other flocks. These are acquainted with needs of their brethren, the other sheep, as the shepherds were too busy to tend their needs for themselves. These ones God is raising up do not seek their own glory but seek only to glorify their Lord and Master in all they do. It is His face they seek day and night. It is their desire to see His power in their midst and are not willing to leave for other appointments or commitments as they have relinquished all their day to do as God directs. Even if some meetings may take all day, these are committed to work as long as the Spirit of the Lord directs them.

I tell you a truth, the order of worship we see today will change as God gets His way above our own way. The apostle will not be looked upon as a superstar of churchianity but will be looked upon as he is, as a father in God's house that carries the burdens of those God has entrusted to him. Like Paul the Apostle, his view of his own calling did not contain all the glitter and fame and recognition that is lavished upon those called apostles today.
    2 Corinthians 6:3-10 (NKJV)
We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. 4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God:in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; 9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

    1 Corinthians 4:9-13 (NKJV)
For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! 11 To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. 12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13 being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.
Until I see these marks associated with apostleship in today's world, I will have much difficulty in accepting one who calls himself an apostle of Jesus Christ. Those who seek honor from men, that is all the reward they shall receive. A true apostle does not seek to honor himself but seeks another's glory, God's glory! These are the humblest of men and refuse the glory and honor men seek to heap upon them. They deflect all such honor and glory to Him who is deserving, Jesus Christ. These true apostles are fathers in the house that lay down their lives for their brethren. These have sacrificed much and continue to sacrifice all they have and all they are for the gospel of Jesus Christ. These are fully aware that what they are building in the church today is according to the pattern revealed to them by God. And with this, they know that the government of this great house, of this kingdom, rests entirely upon His shoulders and not their own. But many today are building a kingdom according to their own desire and have not sought to build according to that heavenly pattern.

What men have sought to set in order in God's house according to their own traditions and limited vision, God will come down and set things in order according to His vision. To men, this will seem to them as chaos because unless men can see some organizational structure established to CONTROL the movements of its ministry outreaches, things are not in order. But I tell you a truth, what God has shown me of HIS order, initially appears to be utter chaos with no visible organization or structure. However, when He opened my eyes to see it, His organizational structure far outstripped any that man could conceive. For only God can see what He has designed with all its intricacies and all its complexities. Has man truly come to understand the most basics of the building blocks of life? We see DNA as a complex structure of mathematical equations far beyond our understanding much less of how to create or recalculate this code to create as He has created. We can only see it but with eyes of no true understanding. If we have great difficulty with such as this, which is to God a simple thing, how then can we see or understand something He is doing on a global scale?

This is why He is God and we are not! We are not called to organize that which belongs to Him but are called to obey what His Spirit tells us each to do. He sees the big picture and allows us to play our very small part in this complex design. The only we can do this is to walk in complete obedience to Him. We let all our own ideas die.

This is not our playground and He will not let us play according to our own rules. This is His plan and we are privileged, not entitled, to participate. Let us then walk circumspectly as children in His house and do according to all He directs and as He instructs us without laying upon Him our desires, or our expectations, or our time limitations, etc. Let us give to Him all that we are without reservation. Let us not give as Ananias and his wife did when they said they gave all they had but secretly reserved something for themselves. Let us not keep ANYTHING in reserve but release it all to Him!

Remember, all may prophecy but do this according as you are directed by His Spirit and not your own. AMEN!
