    The Fallow Ground Shall Be Restored!

    The Fallow Ground Shall Be Restored!

    Hosea 10:12-15 (NKJV)
    Sow for yourselves righteousness;
    Reap in mercy;
    Break up your fallow ground,
    For it is time to seek the Lord,
    Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
    13 You have plowed wickedness;
    You have reaped iniquity.
    You have eaten the fruit of lies,
    Because you trusted in your own way,
    In the multitude of your mighty men.
    14 Therefore tumult shall arise among your people,
    And all your fortresses shall be plundered
    As Shalman plundered Beth Arbel in the day of battle—
    A mother dashed in pieces upon her children.
    15 Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel,
    Because of your great wickedness.
    At dawn the king of Israel
    Shall be cut off utterly.
    "...Break up your fallow ground..."

    Once plowed. Once planted. Once fruitful. Yet now, because of dryness, lack of passion, devoid of thirst, this once fruitful land now lies in waste. Although the tears of The Lord have rained down on this now dead land, only the top soil is carried away and the land wastes away and is nigh unto worthlessness.

    What shall I do with this land that was once plowed but now lies dried up and hardened. Shall I call for My rain to once more soften this hardened ground? Will it then be plowed again or will it fall into neglect again? Where is the heart of My people? Where is the desire and the hunger for righteousness? We were once lovers as our souls mingled together in unison but today, where is My Bride? She has long forgotten the joy of our union as she has forgotten the way of truth. Shall I send My rains once again to soften the grounds of her heart? Will she respond? Will she listen? Will she awaken? For sleep has overtaken her and she refuses to give of the increase I have given her. She has become an unfruitful land, once plowed but now, her land has become fallow!

    Although you have hardened your heart against Me, says The Lord, Yet will I have my way with you, oh daughter! For My Love shall triumph over even the hardness of your heart and I will yet again, pour out of My Spirit upon you and cause your heart to be renewed as at the beginning. I will have My way with you and will cause this dead land to become fruitful once again. My mercies will not be turned away and My word shall not return to Me void. For I, The Lord, AM The Lord and My Name SHALL be great in the land once again!

    You have turned your heart away in pain but I shall wipe away your tears. You have turned away in judgment but I shall gather you through My love. I will not allow you to harm yourself any longer but will heal your land and cause My Love to overshadow you until you bring forth the fruit I have planted in you. For who among you can resist My love? Who will be able to stand against My onslaught?

    You have resisted Me with a great resistance and strengthened yourself in your resolve but I will overcome every stronghold and will tear down every wall you have built up around yourself. I will remove the stubbornness of your pride and cast down the haughty look. With My great love will I do this as I pour down upon you My rains until you will look upon what you have done with shame and great sorrow. For you shall mourn the rebellion in your heart as you begin to see My unrelenting love for you. You shall be left naked and uncovered and then I shall clothe you once again in My righteousness and My glory. You will no longer put your trust in your own strength but shall rely fully upon Me, The Lord your God, for all of your strength.

    No more shall you walk around as someone with a chip on their shoulder, with indignity in your heart or let grief and sorrow of heart to rob you of your joy as it has before. I will rebuild that which has been torn down in you and fortify My walls of salvation in you to withstand in the evil day. Once again, where sorrow has covered the land and grief has brought its spoil, I shall emerge triumphant over these and the sound of praise and joy shall be restored in the land once again. I The Lord have said it and I The Lord shall do it! Redemption shall be restored and no more shall this once fruitful land lie in waste but shall be fruitful again, forever!
