VERSE OF THE DAY - Proverbs 14:34

    Proverbs 14:34 (NKJV)
    Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people.
The message of righteousness, this gospel of Jesus Christ, spoken daily everyday by those who have been delivered and transformed by this truth, must be the drum beat we all march to. This nation can only be transformed into a righteous nation one soul at a time, not through political means but through personal relationships whereby the life of Christ is presented through a living example. We are to be a people known and read by all.

We need to preach the good news of the kingdom of God to our families, friends, neighbors and co-workers through a life that screams righteousness and if necessary, we should use words too!

Sin, that blot on our garments that came from walking in a manner not pleasing to God, once removed and cleansed, will enable the righteousness of God in Christ to be seen. It is not the talk we talk but the walk we walk that will demonstrate to all others that we belong to Christ because of our love one to another.

This starts through the humbling of ourselves, remembering where we came from and it was only by the mercies of God and His empowerment through His grace that we can stand today, no longer dependent upon self-reliance but wholly dependent upon God and His enablement. Only a life devoid of self will and complete dependence upon the Spirit of God in all things will be that catalyst to start the fires of revival within our own hearts first and then to everyone afterward.

Who will be that fire-starter? Will you be the one that God will choose to use? Don't look for someone else because you are not qualified. Let God choose the one He will choose. You may be a Gideon or even a Moses. Neither of these men would have chosen themselves but God did. Apparently, God knows far more about us than we do. He knows that He can take the weakest of men to do the greatest of works because it was never about the man but about the unconquerable power of God. God deliberately chooses the weak things of this world in order to show His glory to all men. If He can do it through the weakest of the weak, then there is no one out of His reach.
