The Purposeful Mis-Translation of our Bible

The Purposeful Mistranslation Of Our Bible

How Satan seeks to destroy the Body of Christ through MISTRANSLATION of certain CRITICAL portions of scripture.

Beware the new English translation named "Modern English Version" of the bible. This version SAYS it is translated from the Textus Receptus and the Jacob ben Hayyim edition of the Masoretic Text (Old Testament). This "masoretic text" is the same PERVERSION being used by such English translations as the NIV, AMP, RSV, NAS, CEB, CJB, CEV, DARBY, ERV, ESVUK, EXB, GNT, HCSB, ICB, LEB, TLB, MSG, NABRE, NCV, NET, NLV, NLT, NRSV, VOICE, WEB. (To see all these and other versions of the bible, go to http://www.biblegateway.com/

Here is where these translations differ in a very important way in Daniel 9:26-27...

KJV, NKJV and others not listed above, read as follows:
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks MESSIAH SHALL BE CUT OFF, BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 THEN HE SHALL CONFIRM A COVENANT WITH MANY FOR ONE WEEK; BUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK HE SHALL BRING AN END TO SACRIFICE AND OFFERING. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”
Now,the NASB and the others read this way:
26 Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off AND HAVE NOTHING, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. 27 And he will MAKE A FIRM COVENANT with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”
    (NLT)
26 “After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and A RULER WILL ARISE whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. 27 The RULER WILL MAKE A TREATY with the people for a period of one set of seven,[b] but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds,[c] he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration,[d] until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.”
Notice how those OTHER translations CHANGE the words translated from the Hebrew in verses 26 and 27.  In verse 26, “but not for Himself” is changed to “have nothing”. This is a vast difference as Jesus was “cut off” (put to death) but not for any sin He committed. In verse 27, ALL the other translations change the word “confirm” to “make”. They all also imply that it is a RULER (not the Messiah) will MAKE a covenant with Israel or many for one week but in the midst of the week (Jesus’ ministry lasted half a week in prophetic language, one day equals one year. Jesus put an end to ALL sacrifice and ritual observances (oblations) by His BLOOD SACRIFICE.

These 2 verses are commonly used by those who speak of a pre-tribulation rapture. What they allude to in these verses is not what the Spirit of the Lord was revealing to Daniel. God was speaking of the Messiah. Jesus was judged guilty and killed but not for His own sin. Jesus confirmed the covenant God made with Israel because the religious leaders had so corrupted God’s word as to change God’s intended meanings. Also, the confirmation of the Abrahamic covenant NEEDED God to shed HIS BLOOD as both parties in a covenant REQUIRED the shedding of blood to CONFIRM the covenant. When God made the covenant with Abraham, Abraham was required to shed his blood through the circumcision of his fore flesh. God, being Spirit, could not shed His blood at that time but sent His Son, Jesus Christ, in the form of human flesh to shed His blood as a ransom for many. THIS act of shedding His blood CONFIRMED the Abrahamic Covenant while also ESTABLISHING a NEW and BETTER COVENANT for all those who believed.

It was the task of the Jesuit priests, sent by the Roman Catholic Church (RCC), to UNDERMINE the faith of the PROTESTANTS who departed from the RCC. Most Protestants at that time KNEW that the prophetic word in the book of Revelations regarding the BEAST was indeed the RCC. The RCC then sought to bring confusion through mistranslations and establishing a new doctrine of PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE of the church. Jesus CLEARLY stated in Matthew 24…
    Matthew 24:29-31
The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
NOTICE: He did not say BEFORE the tribulation of those days NOR did He say, in the MIDST of the tribulation of those day.

EVERY teacher/preacher of the Pre-Trib Rapture IGNORES verse 29. They will quote the two verses BEFORE this verse but never mention this verse at all. They skip it to continue on with their “proofs” but CONVENIENTLY leave out the full CONTEXT of the verses. This has been SATAN’s tactic from the beginning. When he tempted Eve in the garden, he said that God did not want them (Adam and Eve) to be LIKE Him but left out the very fact that THEY WERE ALREADY LIKE GOD as they were created in the IMAGE of the Godhead. “Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness.”

These examples I’ve shared out of the book of Daniel are not the only perversions or mistranslations in the bible. Much of the New Testament has been purposely mistranslated for the purpose of leading many astray. If we cannot trust these translations, why are so many leaders using them? Not all of the verses are mistranslated. What is needed today to guard against being deceived is something that the church of today seems to have FORGOTTEN. Jesus sent the HOLY SPIRIT to LEAD and GUIDE us into ALL TRUTH. If we do not let the Holy Spirit do His job in our lives, then we will be easily deceived. The HOLY SPIRIT TEACHES us the TRUTH and will CONFIRM that truth to us in His Word. If that word does not agree with the Holy Spirit, who is the author of His own Word, then He will let us know that the portion which is in error is not truth. HE CANNOT BE DECEIVED. If we allow the AUTHOR of the Bible to TEACH us and LEAD us into those truths He has established through REVELATION, then the gates of hell will not be able to stand against us.
