Are You Willing To Pay The Price For All of Jesus?

Are You Willing To Pay The Price For All of Jesus?

I went through that period known as the Charismatic Revival. Although many Catholics got saved and spirit-filled, the emphasis was on the gifts of the Spirit and what can be had. Too much on what we could receive rather than the Giver of those gifts. Holy Spirit separated me out from among them and then showed me what He delivered me from. I was never comfortable with what I saw happening and have always maintained a strong relationship with the Lord. He has always been my moment by moment companion and has always been quite verbal towards me and I with Him.

It is this intimacy that the church is in dire need of. The biggest thing He has shown me consistently over the years is how His people have no time for Him. In fact, that was His lamentation He expressed to me.

There are two things He has shown me over the years and they remain today.
    1. He desires the intimacy of daily fellowship. Remember that God walked daily with Adam in the cool of the day. This daily intimacy benefited Adam and was a source of tremendous blessing to the Father. He enjoys spending time with His children and carrying on in conversation with them. We are His delight!

    2. Obedience. Obedience is better than sacrifice He told King Saul. "Faith laid the foundation but obedience builds the house." That mansion that Jesus promises to build for each of us is dependent upon our walking in obedience to Him. Did you know you can as much of Jesus in your life as you desire of Him daily? That's right! The only limit to how much of His presence we can experience today is how much of ourselves we are willing to yield to Him. We are the ones that determine how much of Jesus will be in our lives. We can have as little or as much as we desire....right now.
This walk with Him is a pricey one however. It will only cost you everything. He is worth it! I have experienced a richness of His Spirit in my life that few ever attain. Remember, out of the twelve there were the three and out of the three, there was the one. John refers to himself as 'that disciple whom Jesus loved'. As a result of this intimacy, John was privileged to see and experience more than the rest. How much of Jesus do YOU want. Are you willing to give up everything and draw ever closer to Him

I want to offer you all a secret about prayer. It is not a chore that must be endured. It is a chance at wonderful and fulfilling communication with One who does not belittle you, no matter how dumb your questions may be. He is always respectful and always patient. He is never in a hurry or too busy. Detours are a way of life with Him because there is always so much more to see off the beaten path than we could possibly know with all of the side trips filled with wonderful new things to see and enjoy. And when the time comes that He leads you up a mountain, pay close attention to what He will show you. For at the top of that mountain, He will show you things you could never have imagined. It is while on top of that mountain that He will speak to you that which shall be your calling and destiny. It will be at that time you will hear His voice behind you and when He speaks, it will pierce your soul with the weight and glory of His loving compassion for His people. Your life will never be the same after this. You will be changed forever.

How do I know these things? I have been to that mountaintop and He has done with me all I have told you He will do with you. My life has never been the same after that. Since that time, I never had to 'pray' as most people equate prayer. I had my moment by moment daily communion with Him and He would tell me the secrets of His kingdom that has been kept secret from men's minds and thoughts since the beginning. Jeremiah 33:3 has been the cornerstone of my access to the things of heaven. That verse says, "Call unto Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know."

One of those secret things He has shown me was what it was that Moses saw when He saw the hinder parts of God as Moses asked God to see His Glory. I know what Moses saw. God showed to Moses all the things God had done to that moment. Moses witnessed the creation and heard the words spoken within the Godhead when they said, "Let us make man...." Moses wrote the first five books of the bible. These words were not verbal traditions passed down through the ages but an eyewitness account to one who saw the hinder parts of God. And to us, God offers us to see as much of Him we are willing to pay the price to see. Not just what God had done but what He IS doing and about to do. We are given an even greater legacy than what was given to Moses because of what Jesus did in obedience to His Father.

This truth and many many others He has revealed to me and it is His greatest desire that He should reveal to you even more than He has shown me. What price are you willing to pay? Are you willing to suffer the loss of all things? Saying and doing are two entirely different things. The first is easy to say but VERY difficult to walk out. I know. I've lived it. But just as we see in Jesus' 40 day trip through His wilderness journey, He endured what all those who wish to follow Him must endure. For there are two very critical truths that the wilderness experience will teach you.
    1. To try you and test you to see what is in your heart, if you will obey Him or not

    2. That man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord
These are only two things but they will try you and test you to your limits. It will cost you everything. When I went through this, no one understood. Neither my wife, my brothers in Christ, my pastor, my co-workers nor my natural family. I had to endure this alone without support from any other human being. My only hope was in His word and His commitment to me as His child. I learned what it was to be a son first and then out of that relationship, to serve.

How much of God do you want? All of Him? Then it will cost you ALL of you.
