    Let Everything That Has Breath...

    Psalms 150:6 (NKJV)
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
    Praise the Lord!
Not only are we encouraged to praise the Lord but all of creation praises him. We are encouraged to add our voices and our instruments to JOIN the heavenly orchestra and the earthly orchestra in singing to Him our praises.

I woke this morning at about 3-4 am to the beautiful sounds of our neighborhood mockingbird singing his beautiful songs to the Lord. All day long, this tiny creature shouts out his cacophony of shrills, whistles and screeches, all harmonizing into that vast repertoire of sounds as it expresses its song of praise to the One who created it. His songs permeated the still of the night without interruption or the sounds of any other to interrupt its high praises. So powerful a song, so powerful its praise. To lay in my bed and listen to these, his songs. What greater moments than this to be lulled to sleep again with the sounds of praise in my ears. And when I awoke this morning, this little orchestra was soon found to be continuing his song. At nearly 11am, as I sit outside typing this word, this little bird is still singing. Oh how beautiful is Your creation oh God and how joyous it is to sing Your praises. My heart is enthralled at the wonders of who You are and the glory You wish to share in the manifest Love of Your Spirit! How wonderful You are! Indeed...Let EVERYTHING that has breath PRAISE THE LORD!
