    Prayer As Incense

    Prayer As Incense

    Revelation 5:8 (NKJV)
8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

    Revelation 8:3-5 (NKJV)
Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.
As you can from these scriptures, our prayers before the Father are as incense. It is the aroma of this incense that fills the temple of the Lord and is mixed with fire to execute His justice from heaven. Even the "Thank You" we offer up to Him is a prayer that is incense. Be grateful and thank Him throughout the day. Look at all those things with which you have to be thankful and offer Him thanks. It takes but a moment to do and it so blesses the Father's heart when you do.

Thank you Father for another day that I may sing to You praises and thanksgiving and worship. Let everything that has breath praise the Living God!
